In 1977, Nathan D. Clark received his Batchelor of Arts in Philosophy from Spring Hill College of the Society of Jesus in Mobile, Alabama, where he attended on a four-year basketball scholarship.

In 1980, Clark received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, where he earned the honor of serving and publishing in the Mississippi Law Journal.

In 1981, Clark received his Masters of Laws in Taxation from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where he studied many aspects of business entity taxation.

After earning his Masters of Laws in Taxation, Clark associated with the Miami office of the nationally known tax law firm of Culverhouse, Tomlinson, Mills, Anderson, and Cone, which was headed by the late Hugh F. Culverhouse, a renowned tax lawyer and founder-owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneer NFL Football Team.

He is admitted to the Mississippi State Bar and the Florida Bar and all of the courts of those states. In his criminal law practice, he regularly practices before the federal U. S. Courts of Appeals in the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and in all divisions of the federal U. S. District Courts for the Southern Districts of Florida and Mississippi. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He has served on the Federal Court Practice Committee of both the Dade County Bar Association and the Florida Bar.
